Insanity of Motherhood

Motherhood, marriage, and midlife.

A few days ago I ordered some Halloween items online.  Halloween is over, but I snagged a few things half off for next year.

When the package arrived Little Boy could not contain his excitement.  At first he was thrilled thinking the big box was a present for him, but after we emptied the box he realized it was the box itself that was the real present.

We have had the box for over a week and the fun continues.

  1. The simple joys are the best!

  2. His kitty cousins would agree – there is nothing better than a box!

  3. It looks like a luxurious bubble bath!

  4. Too darn cute!

  5. I remember when we got a couple of large appliances years ago, the kids played in the boxes for weeks upon weeks…. the simple joys of play and imagination. now I can go outside and play in the leaves for one last time! Oh, the joys of the Midwest. I hope you are well.

    • We still have the box in the garage. Little Boy won’t let us throw it away. The cool thing about the box is that it’s filled with biodegradable peanuts. We have conducted numerous experiments to determine how to make the peanuts dissolve. More joy! Hope you are well too, Clay.
