I Rest My Case

Every year, at about this time, my family does an annual camping trip.  Last night, my husband was preparing for the event.  I do not usually go, but if the campsite is close enough, I’ll visit for the day.

The annual camping trip is the only outing my husband plans for 100% alone.  I may purchase a few items here and there, but that is it.  My husband gets all the gear together, helps the boys pack their bags and gathers all the food for the meals.

Spam

Top Ramen

Canned corn

Soda

Chips

  1. Thanks for posting this. It was a good way for me to laugh and start my morning off with a smile. Enjoy camping! 🙂

  2. 🙂 Love the post. Thanks for sharing!! I cannot blame you one bit for bailing on the camping. I stand firm on the fact that Spam should only be used when you have absolutely no other option…

  3. perhaps you could buy some nice crusty bread, some nice cheese and salad and a nice bottle of white wine with something sumptuous for dessert and go visit and sit smugly nibbling delicately while they eat their spam and ramen (eww).

  4. These are the basic food groups. I don’t see what the problem is. Top Ramen builds strong bones right?

  5. Aggghhh, I wouldn’t go on that trip either! When are they going, we’ll have to get together for a fabulous meal while they are gone.

  6. What will they use the butter for?

  7. When camping as a kid, we always had fried Spam for breakfast. I’m an herbivore now, but just thinking about it makes want to fry up some Spam. Yum!!
