Today is the day folks. It is time to celebrate the one year anniversary of Insanity of Motherhood. Pretty darn amazing, if you ask me. To think, just over a year ago I had no idea what a blog was and now…well, I am still not sure.
My real start date for my blog was March 28, 2011. My first blog was titled, In the Beginning. Remember it? What an exciting day that was, huh? Actually, I do not remember much about that day except I was yelling a lot at my husband. The reason I was yelling, was because figuring out how WordPress works was hard. For someone very non-computer savvy, it nearly killed me.
Starting this blog was not my idea. I was pressured into doing it, by my well-meaning friends. After about a year of writing silly stuff on Facebook, I was informed it was time to blog. At that time, I had never read a blog in my life.
A year ago, April 1st, 2011, I made a pledge to write a ‘blog a day’ for one year. I cannot seem to find where I wrote this pledge down. But I do remember saying it. Did I meet the goal of “blog a day’ for the year? Of course not. Honestly, I do not know how anyone could. But I did accomplish things, lots of things during the year. Let’s take a look at the statistics, shall we?
Statistics for Insanity of Motherhood

10,809 Views All-Time
Well, what do you think? I have no idea if these numbers are good or bad. I am thinking they are on the low side, but it does not matter. I hesitated to share the numbers because I started to get caught up in what the numbers say. I am not a person who lives by the numbers, never have been. In last year over people viewed my blog over 10,000 times. To me, that is really something.
For the next week I will share with you the highs and lows of writing my blog. It has been the best of time and the worst of times. Each day will highlight a previously written blog and my thoughts about it. I am looking forward, to looking back, at my first year of writing, Insanity of Motherhood.
Thank you for reading my blog. It has been a great ride so far…
