Southern California is known for two things: fabulous weather and mexican food.  On every street corner, you will find a restaurant serving Mexican food.  As a result, my family and I are all addicted to refried beans and burritos.

On the East coast, every neighborhood, and in some places every block, had their own pizza shop.  Pizza to the East, is what Mexican food is to SoCal.  When it comes to great pizza in San Diego, there is only one place to go, Bronx Pizza.

Bronx Pizza, in midtown San Diego, is authentic New York style pizza.  The restaurant serves thin crust pizza by the slice and calzones.  That is it.  No buffalo wings or salad at this place, but trust me you will not miss them.

The restaurant is casual, so do not dress up.  There are no waiters.  You simply go up the counter and place your order.  When it ready they will call you by the food you have ordered, not your name.

Simple place, but the food is fantastic.  I always tell myself I will only eat one slice, but end up buying two.  I have not tried the calzones yet, but will do so on my next visit.

Bronx Pizza is a popular place, so expect a line.  The food is worth the wait.  If you do not want to eat in, pizza pies can be ordered to take home.

Is your mouth watering?  It should be.

I know what the family and I are having for dinner tonight, Bronx Pizza.

Talk with soon, friends.
