A few weeks ago, my two older, teenage boys decided they wanted to cut their shaggy, surfer style hair short.  They both have had long hair for years.  I was a bit nervous about the change, but both new haircuts came out great.

My little son recently told me he wanted to have a ‘big boy’ haircut too.  It broke my heart to hear him say that.  He has always had very shaggy hair.  It is his thing.  My husband and two older sons thought it was time for the little guy to get a ‘real’ haircut.

Armed with my best acting skills,  to keep the tears from flowing, I took my little son to our family hairdresser today.  She is young, hip, skilled, and knew just how to handle me and cut my son’s hair.

Well, what can I say?  His new hairdo looks great.  I did not shed a single tear.  Whew.

If only every new thing my boys did was this easy.
